Health, Illness and Survival in 1 in 8 Billion
This page explains one part of the game. It is an independent copy, not the official site. The life itself starts on this language’s homepage.
How to read Health
The bar runs from 0 to 100. It affects the model’s risk and whether the character can keep working. It is not a diagnosis, and this page is not medical advice.
| Field | On this copy |
|---|---|
| age | The life table already changes with age. Being young or old is not a promise either way. |
| place | The place supplies life expectancy, the sex gap, infant deaths and under-five deaths. Those are inputs, not the character’s age at death. |
| health | Health moves the model’s risk. 100 is not immunity, and raising it is not medical advice. |
| event | Illness, injury and other events can also change the year. This page does not list a guaranteed cause. |
Age already changes the chance
The life table supplies a chance that moves with age and sex. Health is only one later adjustment. The life-expectancy page shows the modeled cohort. It still does not name your character’s birthday of death.
Infant and under-five figures
Both are per 1,000 live births. A place with a high under-five figure gives the model more room for early illness. It does not mean every child in that place dies.
Illness is conditional
A childhood illness event in the source looks at age, the under-five figure and the household. Treatment and money can change the telling. None of that is advice for a real illness.
Injury, infection and conflict
The place file also carries figures the model can use for injury, infection and conflict. In a past or future year those paths need era.js, which is missing here. This page will not describe graphic harm or offer a way to aim it.
What the yearly focus can lean toward
Sport, health and rest are focuses in some stages. Their arrows are tendencies inside the game. They do not add a fixed number of years, and they are not a training plan.
The cause on the ending screen
The cause is generated for that life. It is not a medical finding, and it is not a claim that the same cause is typical for the country. External statistics, when the game cites them, describe patterns, not this character.
A sudden death
The model can end a life without a long warning. That is not a promise, and it is not a prediction about a real person.
Does health 100 mean survival?
No.
Life expectancy and age at death
Can I calculate my own remaining years here?
No. The page refuses personal forecasts.
Where do I read the cause?
On the ending screen, after the life stops.
